'I Am Legend' Prop Design

In my effort to visualize the world of Richard Matheson's novella "I Am Legend," I decided to design the backyard greenhouse of the protagonist, Robert Neville. This was another opportunity to communicate the characteristics that allowed him to be the sole surviving human being in 1970's California: a world ravaged by a disease which seemingly transforms its victims into vampires. It is his ability to adapt to his environment, and repurpose it, that allows him to survive the vampire apocalypse.
